Field record

An Oddity that appears in different biological forms depending on the observer, controlling an Anomalous Realm that it can construct and transform at will. Rumor has it that on the night of the 15th each month, if one harbors a wish and determination strong enough, there might be a chance to receive a response from Morphix. "Clever people are always happy to make equivalent exchanges."

In the field, Morphix is logged as a boss encounter roaming Green Wall Slope, and the Hunter Association files it under threat classification IV with prime clearance. Its poise is governed by the Cosmos stagger family, so leaning on matching damage breaks its balance bar fastest and opens the cleanest burst window. Each challenge of this fight spends 60 Stamina, so plan your runs around the daily cap. Clearing it rewards loot drawn from the in-game sequence, detailed in the rewards table below.

Anomaly Story

Anomalies often possess some kind of extraordinary ability, and some can even rewrite reality. Morphix is one such Anomaly. We know very little about Morphix's origin, but it has likely been hiding in human society for quite some time. Had it not used its ability during the Pawn Moonlight incident and been witnessed by an Anomaly Hunter, we likely would still be unaware of its existence.

Morphix can construct a unique Anomalous Realm and set conditions for entry and exit, completely refusing entry or trapping individuals who enter it. It can freely restructure the form of its Anomalous Realm, creating complex labyrinths. For us, this would require immense spatial imagination, but for Morphix, constructing such spatial structures seems to be an ordinary instinctive ability. For any outsider who enters the Anomalous Realm, overcoming a Morphix with its home-field advantage would be a long and difficult process.

According to investigations, Morphix's appearance primarily depends on what Morphix wants to show, but it also varies based on the observer. Morphix has two most commonly seen forms: in most people's eyes, Morphix appears as a fluffy white canine creature that looks completely harmless. However, within its own Anomalous Realm, Morphix may appear as a massive white wolf with wings on its back. This is presumably Morphix's true form.

Many Anomalies can generate Anomalous Realms, but most have obvious connections and constraints between themselves and the realm they create. These Anomalies typically have only a limited ability to interfere with their own Anomalous Realm. Anomalies like Morphix, which can actively control their own Anomalous Realm, are uncommon. However, its ability to alter its own appearance is even more intriguing. This external transformation appears to result from the combined effect of its subjective intentions and the observer's objective perspective. Can it read the observer's thoughts? Why does it choose to appear harmless? When did it start hiding among human society? Is this connected to its origin?

The Pawn Moonlight incident was successfully resolved with the assistance of an Anomaly Hunter. During this incident, Morphix's identity as an Anomaly was exposed. Shortly afterward, Morphix's current Guarantor promptly applied for guardianship. This Anomaly's abilities carry significant potential risk, so the Bureau of Anomaly Control strictly reviewed the circumstances of both Morphix and its Guarantor. During the review process, Staff from the Bureau of Anomaly Control evaluated Morphix as "just an ordinary pet dog." Considering this Anomaly's high level of intelligence, lack of intent to harm others, and the fact that the Guarantor (or rather, "owner") had already proven capable of taking care of it through their prior cohabitation, the Bureau ultimately approved the application.

Anomaly Characteristics

· Morphix appears differently to different observers. Most of the time, it looks like a white, harmless canine creature.

· It can create an independent Anomalous Realm and set conditions for entry and exit.

· Within its own Anomalous Realm, it can freely alter the spatial structure.

Anomaly Nexus

Unknown. Subduing this Anomaly by force is presumed to be the most effective method.

Risk Assessment

High risk. Given this Anomaly's high level of intelligence, it is recommended to prioritize maintaining good relations with it and meeting its living needs, while closely monitoring both the Guarantor and the Anomaly itself.

Containment-Guarantee Status

Guaranteed by the individual "Boomboom."

Containment Measures

Not in containment.
