Nameless Hospital
A nameless hospital abandoned after an unknown incident; an inescapable nightmare, ever-present yet never defined.
"Its name, its past, its truth… You will come to know them all."
Everything the game tells you about its world, gathered into one archive. The Codex holds the 30 loading-screen briefings that quietly teach you how this setting works: what an Anomaly really is, why a Nexus matters, how Espers pay a price for their gifts, and who pulls the strings from the towers of the city. The Glossary is the dictionary behind those briefings: 86 official terms, from the Wertheimer Index and the Circle's 3C philosophy to combat mechanics like Fang Thrust and Karma, each with its full in-game definition, sorted by category and fully searchable. The Regions tab opens onto the 5 districts of Hethereau, the living map you patrol, with an overview of each neighbourhood and a link through to its detail page. Read the codex top to bottom for a tour of the setting, look up a term when a mission name leaves you guessing, or step through the districts to learn the ground you fight on. Nothing here is invented. Every entry is reproduced from in-game text, tidied only for reading.

Wertheimer Index is the value used to measure the degree of deviation from reality of a subject.
With this value, it is possible to determine whether a subject is an Anomaly or an esper.
The Wertheimer Index is also an important reference to classify Anomalies.
Anomaly is an umbrella term for all beings, objects, phenomena, places, and memes that possess supernatural attributes from a human perspective.
The origins of Anomaly manifestations are varied, but their very existence in this world is the greatest unsolved mystery.
The critical point when a specific intervention is applied to an Anomaly, causing its internal or external manifestation to undergo drastic changes.
The Nexus is one of the core characteristics of an Anomaly, closely related to the Anomaly's form of existence, behavioral choices, and its response modes to external interventions. Current research has yet to provide a comprehensive explanation of it.
Each Anomaly's Nexus is unique, often playing a key role in the containment or nullification of the Anomaly.
The act of critically erasing an Anomaly from the human world is classified as "nullification." However, nullification does not annihilate the Anomaly entirely, and it may still emerge into the human world.
Esper Abilities are supernatural, non-reality abilities awakened in ordinary humans, which can generally be divided into six types based on different manifestations: Cosmos, Anima, Incantation, Lakshana, Psyche, and Chaos.
Not all Esper Abilities are powerful or possess battle capabilities. Some abilities are weak and some even somewhat comical.
Individuals who have awakened an Esper Ability are called Espers. Theoretically, Espers have varying lifespans depending on the impact of their awakening. Some Espers are no different from ordinary people. Others may have a significantly shorter expected lifespan as the "price" of their awakening, while some may live longer, and some may even become effectively immortal.
Espers can be divided into two categories based on when they acquire their Esper Ability: Espers from nature and Espers from nurture, who usually undergo a specific life-changing event.
In terms of appearance, some Espers have no obvious differences from ordinary people, while others exhibit features distinct from ordinary humans, such as animalistic appearances, horns, or neon-colored skin.
All espers have paid a price for their abilities, be it mental, or physical, or something abstract and unfathomable like "karma" or certain weaknesses that had only surfaced after their awakening.
It is worth noting that the price may not follow the "law of equivalent exchange", and its effects are often unmeasurable.
The more humans interact with Anomalies, learn about them, and become obsessed, the more likely they are to be affected physically and even mentally. This phenomenon is called Encroachment.
The city where the headquarters of the Bureau of Anomaly Control is located. It is an inclusive, open, and fashionable metropolis.
Since the establishment of the headquarters, this city has become a paradigm of public safety. Its influence can be seen in the city's design and atmosphere, placing Hethereau at the forefront of global Anomaly and Esper applications.
The Circle refers to the authorities on anomaly related matters.
Strictly speaking, the Circle usually refers to the five topmost authorities: the Bureau of Anomaly Control, the Celaeno Compound, the Yggash Court, the Zerogon Laboratory, Ghroth Island, and the Supreme Tribunal A6.
However, in a broader sense, the Circle also refers to various public institutions, as well as private Anomaly Hunters or Hunter organizations.
The act of temporarily restricting and isolating Anomalies is classified as "Temporary Containment". It is more common for Anomalies with lower or stable threats and is generally applicable to Anomalies that can be controlled by conventional technology, isolation facilities, or standard containment procedures. Sometimes it can be performed with Esper Abilities as well.
The act of restraining and isolating Anomalies through critical measures, preventing them from posing threats to reality or human society.
The act of collecting the remnants of Anomaly Activity and other Anomaly-related elements.
Apart from handing over the contained or temporarily contained Anomaly itself, sending the captured Anomaly-related elements to Midas Technologies may also assist in the research of the Anomaly. Based on contributions in this area, one may sometimes receive an "Arc" that carries part of the anomaly's abilities as a reward.
A newly developed city marked by rapid growth and a large population.
Once criticized as being "well constructed in every respect, yet lacking character," the arrival of the Anomaly, "Hypervortex," has stained the city with an inescapable sense of abnormality.
Real-time monitoring of Wertheimer Index fluctuations is an essential means of maintaining vigilance against high-level Anomalies manifesting in our world.
Large-scale measurements have already been popularized primarily through Wertheimer Towers, but more convenient and precise measurement technology has not yet been achieved on a technical level. Accurate measurement of Wertheimer Index values for specific targets requires quite complex procedures to accomplish.
The influence that Anomalies have on real, ordinary things.
Minor Encroachment rarely manifests visibly. Major Encroachment manifests in various ways depending on the corresponding Anomaly.
Encroachment caused by the same type of Anomaly also manifests differently depending on the form of the real thing, such as living beings or objects.
For some Anomalies with a certain level of intelligence, as well as some Anomaly owners, sponsorship means protection. Through sponsorship, the basic rights and safety of that Anomaly being allowed to exist in human society can be maintained.
Sponsorship is not mandatory, does not mean that the sponsored Anomaly necessarily has citizen status, does not mean that the sponsor and the Anomaly have necessarily signed a contract, nor does it contain implications of a master-servant power relationship. It has the broadest scope of coverage.
A domain constructed by an Anomaly using its own abilities that cannot be mapped to real-world coordinates.
The Anomalous Realm itself is, in most cases, one of the abilities of the main Anomaly. Therefore, what is commonly referred to as an Anomalous Realm generally cannot be considered an independent derivative Anomaly, and is thus distinguished from the concept of Location Anomalies that can be mapped to real-world coordinates.
These members of the Circle don't answer to any public authorities, but rather conduct anomaly investigation, containment, and nullification work under their tacit approval. Anomaly Hunters often form or operate under companies or businesses.
Their revenue comes from a wide variety of channels, including guilds and private commissioners.
A confirmed product created or invented with the participation of one or more Espers using their abilities, where the inclusion of esper abilities is an essential and irreplaceable part of the product's creation process that cannot be substituted by ordinary materials or methods used by regular people.
These can be divided into two major categories: esper technologies and esper constructs.
Generally speaking, Anomalies have Wertheimer Index values in the negative range below -1, while espers have values in the positive range above 1. The larger the absolute value, the greater the degree of deviation from reality.
Things that do not deviate from reality at all theoretically have a Wertheimer Index of 0. Since being affected by Anomalies or Esper Abilities in daily life is quite common, ordinary humans typically have actual Wertheimer Index values between -1 and 1.
A comprehensive social media platform in Hethereau.
It covers all functions that support expressing opinions and sharing info with others, including forum posts, friends' feed updates, messaging, albums, rolls, live streaming, and more.
"OP" refers to the "original poster" on Bagel.
You can see bagel-shaped barcodes covered with sesame seeds posted in places, called "Sesame Codes." You can scan these Sesame Codes to view the corresponding Bagel pages.
It's convenient in every way, and has become an indispensable platform in modern life.
Anomalies that integrate into society as Anomaly Citizens, enjoying civil rights while also bearing civil obligations.
Most Anomalies with citizen status are Oddities, but this is not limited to Bio Anomalies. Other types of Anomalies that have received sponsorship, possess self-awareness and autonomous behavioral capacity, have sufficient intelligence, and have passed evaluation can also become Anomaly Citizens.
Chairman of Pink Paws Bank, eldest son of the Dvořák family, and Hethereau's renowned love poet.
Forever pursuing true love, he pays no attention to anything else he considers "trivial matters." Though passionate by nature, his relationship with his children seems rather strained.
A commercial bank under the Dvořák Group.
One of Hethereau's largest commercial banks with a long operating history and strong financial foundation. Its branches and ATMs are commonly seen throughout the city. The main building is located in the downtown area, and its Pink Paws logo originates from the anomaly Ladon, which has a Contract with the Dvořák family.
A variety show funded and produced by the Dvořák family.
Inspired by the movie Vault Heist, the Dvořák family partnered with renowned directors to create a variety show called Pink Paws Heist, aiming to give citizens a chance to experience a different kind of life. However, while winners receive generous rewards, they also seem to be added to some mysterious list…?
An Oddity that has a contract with the Dvořák family, whose time of appearance is beyond memory.
Legend says the Dvořák family's vast wealth comes from the mysterious Ladon. Please do not call it by any name other than "Ladon," and when necessary, use the title "Lord Ladon." As for nicknames like "udon"… no matter where you heard that, you must forget it immediately.

Anomaly is an umbrella term for Bio, Object, Phenomenon, Location, and Meme, that possess human-perceived supernatural attributes.
The origins of Anomaly manifestations are varied, but their very existence is this world's greatest unsolved mystery.
Individuals among humans who have awakened Esper Abilities.
Espers can be divided into two categories based on when they acquire their Esper Ability: one who possesses Abilities from birth, and one who awakens their abilities later in life through specific triggers.
Physically, some Espers show no obvious differences from ordinary humans, while others possess distinct features such as animorphic traits, demonic horns, or unusually colored skin.
Theoretically, Espers have varying lifespans depending on the specific impact of their Abilities. Some Espers have the same lifespan as ordinary humans; some have significantly shorter lifespans due to the price of their Abilities; others have relatively extended lifespans due to the effects of special Abilities; and some even have lifespans that approach eternity.
The global collective term for Anomaly authority agencies.
Narrowly, the Circle refers to the five major public authorities: the Bureau of Anomaly Control, Yggash Court, Celaeno Compound, Zerogon Laboratory, and Ghroth Island, along with Supreme Tribunal A6.
More broadly, however, the Circle also includes various civilian Anomaly Hunter organizations and individual Anomaly Hunters.
The Circle operates on the 3C philosophy: Control, Containment, and Cognition.
Among the five major authorities, the Bureau of Anomaly Control corresponds to Control.
The Celaeno Compound, which houses contained Anomalies, and Ghroth Island, which operates as a prison, correspond to Containment.
Yggash Court, responsible for intelligence, and Zerogon Laboratory, which leads research efforts, correspond to Cognition.
A detection value that measures the intensity of a target object's deviation from reality.
Using reality as an anchor point, the Wertheimer Index can distinguish whether a target object is an Anomaly or an Esper.
Generally speaking, Anomalies have Wertheimer Index values below -1, while Espers have values above 1. The greater the absolute value, the greater the intensity of deviation from reality.
Objects that do not deviate from reality at all theoretically have a Wertheimer Index of 0. However, since situations involving Anomaly or Esper Ability influence are extremely common in daily life, ordinary humans typically have actual Wertheimer Index values between -1 and 1.
The Wertheimer Index is also an important reference for Anomaly classification.
Real-time monitoring of Wertheimer Index fluctuations is essential to maintaining vigilance against high-level Anomalies.
Large-scale measurements have become widespread primarily through Wertheimer Towers, but more convenient point-to-point measurement technology has not yet been technically achieved. Totally accurate measurement of an object's Wertheimer Index still requires a great deal of technical skill and effort.
The critical point at which a specific intervention is applied to an Anomaly, triggering drastic changes in its internal or external manifestations.
The Nexus is a core characteristic of an Anomaly, closely tied to its existence, behavioral patterns, and responses to external interventions. Research has yet to provide a comprehensive explanation.
Each Anomaly's Nexus is unique and often plays a key role in its containment or nullification.
The act of restricting and isolating Anomalies, preventing them from posing threats to human society or reality at large.
The act of temporarily restricting and isolating Anomalies through general measures is called Temporary Containment. This is a routine operation for Anomalies with lower threats or greater stability, typically applicable to Anomalies that can be controlled by conventional technology, isolation facilities, or standard containment procedures. Some Esper Abilities can also achieve Temporary Containment.
The vessels that contain Anomalies are called Containers. At the Celaeno Compound, Anomalies are held in Containment Units.
The act of Anomalies that have been contained (permanently or temporarily) breaking through their Containment state.
The act of entirely erasing given Anomalies from the human world.
Nullification does not represent the complete annihilation of an Anomaly's existence, nor does it exclude the possibility of additional manifestation.
The act of collecting remnants of Anomaly activity and other Anomaly-related elements.
Besides submitting the contained or temporarily contained Anomaly itself, sending captured Anomaly-related elements to Midas Technologies can aid in research. Contributions in this area may sometimes be rewarded with an Arc that carries part of the Anomaly’s abilities.
The influence that Anomalies have on real, ordinary things.
Minor Encroachment rarely manifests visibly. Major Encroachment manifests in various ways depending on the corresponding Anomaly.
Encroachment caused by the same type of Anomaly can also differ from environment to environment.
According to the Countertransference Theory, the closer humans get to Anomalies, the more they learn about and research them, the more susceptible they become to both physical and mental influences.
For some Anomalies with a certain level of intelligence, as well as some Anomaly owners, sponsorship provides protection. Through sponsorship, the basic rights and safety of the Anomaly—allowing it to exist in human society—can be maintained.
Sponsorship is voluntary. It does not guarantee citizen status, does not imply a contract between the sponsor and the Anomaly, and carries no master-servant connotations. It is the broadest form of protection.
An Anomalous Realm is a domain created by an Anomaly using its own abilities and cannot be mapped to real-world coordinates.
In most cases, the Anomalous Realm is one of the main Anomaly's abilities. Therefore, it is generally not considered an independent derivative Anomaly and is distinct from Location Anomalies, which can be mapped to real-world coordinates.
Esper Abilities are supernatural abilities awakened in ordinary humans,
which can generally be divided into six types based on different manifestations: Cosmos, Anima, Incantation, Lakshana, Psyche, and Chaos.
Not all Esper Abilities possess battle capabilities. Some abilities are weak and even somewhat comical.
All Espers have paid a price for their abilities, be it mental, physical, or an abstract concept like "karma."
It is worth noting that this price may not follow the law of equivalent exchange, and effects are often unmeasurable.
The price is usually paid immediately upon the Ability's inception.
A member of the Circle who is not part of any public authority but carries out Anomaly investigation, containment, and nullification work—tacitly approved by public authorities—as a private enterprise for individuals or groups.
Compensation comes from various sources, including guilds and private commissioners.
A confirmed product created or invented with the participation of one or more Espers using their abilities, where the inclusion of Esper abilities is essential and irreplaceable—unable to be substituted by ordinary materials or methods.
These products are divided into two main categories: Esper Technologies and Esper Constructs.
The city housing the Bureau of Anomaly Control headquarters—an inclusive, open, and trendy metropolis.
Since the Bureau's establishment here, it has ensured high public safety while subtly shaping the city's appearance and atmosphere, making Hethereau a global leader in Anomaly management and Esper Ability applications.
A rapidly growing city that has attracted a massive population. Though well-built in every aspect, it was once said to lack a true cultural foundation.
The arrival of Hypervortex has transformed the city, bringing undeniable variety to a place once criticized for its lack of character.
A comprehensive social media platform that both human and Anomaly citizens can use.
It covers all forms of communication, including forum posts, friends' feed updates, messaging, albums, rolls, live streaming, and more.
Users who post content on the platform are called "OPs."
You can see bagel-shaped barcodes covered with sesame seeds posted everywhere in daily life; these are called "Sesame Codes," and you can scan them to jump to their corresponding Bagel pages.
It's convenient in every way and has become indispensable in modern life.
Anomalies that integrate into society as Anomaly Citizens, enjoying civil rights while also bearing civic obligations.
Most Anomaly Citizens are Oddities, but this is not limited to Bio Anomalies. Other Anomalies that have sponsorship, self-awareness, autonomous behavior, sufficient intelligence, and have passed evaluation can also attain citizen status.
Official Anomaly profiles include Anomaly images, profile numbers, Anomaly types, common aliases, file permissions, Anomaly classes, Anomaly stories, characteristics, Anomaly nexuses, risk assessments, containment or guarantee status, containment measures, experiment records, Derivative Anomaly descriptions, and more.
Anomaly profiles are compiled by archivists at the Yggash Court based on existing intel. While their content cannot be guaranteed to be completely objective and accurate, they are undoubtedly the most valuable Anomaly reference material available today.
Divided into five basic types: Bio, Object, Phenomenon, Location, and Meme.
Bio and Object are the most common Anomaly types. These two types must be a fixed entity. For convenience's sake in daily use, Bio Anomalies are often called Oddities.
All Anomalies that lack a concrete form belong to either the Phenomenon, Location, and Meme. categories, which are rare in number.
A colloquial term for Bio Anomalies. Only used to describe Anomalies that belong to the Bio classification.
Even Anomalies that lack humanlike characteristics may possess self-awareness and the ability to think.
Non-Bio Anomalies can also appear, act, be perceived, and express themselves in life-like forms through abilities or specific contact methods; however, since their essence is not contained within this entity, such bodies cannot truly be called Oddities.
Classifications assigned by the Yggash Court based on the importance or influence of file info, indicating the clearance required to access that file. The specific classifications are as follows:
Public - Info that can be disclosed to all citizens;
Bounty - All members of the Circle can access, including private Anomaly Hunters, organizations, etc.;
Restricted - Members of the Circle's five major public institutions or six major families can access;
Classified - Senior officials of the Circle's five major public institutions or designated personnel can access;
Confidential - Only A6 members are qualified to access.
An Anomaly's Wertheimer Index can be estimated based on fluctuations detected in the corresponding area when the Anomaly appears or begins activating its abilities.
The Yggash Court has provided classification standards for evaluating Anomaly ability levels, using the danger levels commonly corresponding to Anomaly ability degrees as examples. The specific classifications are as follows:
Class I - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-2, -1] range, the Anomaly has almost no impact on human social order;
Class II - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-3, -2] range, the Anomaly is capable of causing minor injuries to individuals;
Class III - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-4, -3] range, the Anomaly is capable of causing casualties among individuals;
Class IV - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-5, -4] range, the Anomaly is capable of causing multiple casualties in non-densely populated urban areas;
Class V - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-10, -5] range, the Anomaly is capable of causing mass casualties in urban areas;
Class VI - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-20, -10] range, the Anomaly is capable of causing mass casualties throughout an entire city;
Class VII - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-50, -20] range, the Anomaly is capable of causing an entire city's functions to cease or be destroyed;
Class VIII - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-100, -50] range, the Anomaly is capable of destroying an entire city;
Class IX - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-200, -100] range, the Anomaly is capable of destroying multiple cities;
Class X - Wertheimer Index fluctuations in the (-∞, -200] range, the Anomaly may pose an extinction-level threat to humanity.
Anomaly classes are only used to generally indicate an anomaly's capability range and intensity. The analogies in the classification standards are for reference only; "capable of" does not mean the Anomaly "will definitely cause such consequences."
Since each Anomaly has different characteristics, from a human society perspective, there may exist low-class Anomalies with major hidden dangers, or high-class Anomalies that do not actively harm humans.
Anomaly-related incidents that are publicly posted as bounties or specifically assigned to civilian Anomaly Hunters for resolution.
Most Anomaly Commissions on the market are organized and publicly released by the Anomaly Hunter Guild. Among the Commissions published by the Guild, in addition to requests submitted by ordinary people and Commissions assessed and established by internal Guild personnel, there may also be outsourced Anomaly Commissions designed to relieve the workload of the five major public institutions.
Commissions published by the Guild use standardized Commission contract forms; but for direct Commissions, each civilian organization or individual can set them according to their own standards.
Certain Anomalies that appear or become active simultaneously with other Anomalies. They are often found tethered to other powerful Anomalies or within Anomalous Realms.
Anomalies that fit this characteristic are usually lower class.
Surge Anomalies do not have subordinate, evolutionary, devolutionary, variant, or any other mutually developmental relationships with the original Anomalies like Derivative Anomalies do, and can be considered as a completely different Anomaly. Their profile numbers are also independent.
Another Anomaly that has a close relationship with a specific Anomaly.
These close relationships exist in multiple types, including appendages, evolution/devolution, variants, etc. Derivative forms need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis depending on the specific Anomaly's circumstances.
Some Derivative Anomalies, strictly speaking, are part of the main body which are unable to exist or function independently, while other Derivative Anomalies are new forms that the main body presents under certain influences. This transformation is not limited to changes in Anomaly characteristics; sometimes, it can even change the Anomaly Type or cause the Anomaly class to shift.
The discovery order of multiple Derivative Anomalies with the same source body is reflected in their Anomaly profile numbers.
Human-used products made through industrial processing of Anomaly Derivatives, capable of reflecting some Anomaly properties or abilities. These encapsulate daily necessities, food, toys, furniture, and more.
Midas Technologies, in cooperation with Zerogon Laboratory, is the leading specialist in Anomaly Products; but other companies are rapidly following suit.
Anomalies that typically exhibit precise and traceable behaviors, with a complete set domain rules.
Some rule Anomalies symbolize rules themselves. Other rule Anomalies operate solely to achieve a specific purpose; often, aiming to repair loopholes in existing rules.
Criminal incidents involving the exploitation of Anomaly characteristics or factors related to Espers.
This means the incident is considered to be primarily driven by deliberate, human criminal intent, rather than being a simple, Anomaly incident.
As Anomalies and Espers become part of everyday public life, the number of such cases has been steadily rising. Due to the unpredictable nature of Anomalies and Esper Abilities, these cases can be extremely difficult to handle.
Security Offices cannot cover Anomaly crimes. Once a regular Anomaly Commission is proven to be an anomaly-related criminal case, civilian Anomaly Hunters have the right to immediately and unconditionally refuse it. Such cases are typically transferred to the Bureau of Anomaly Control.
One of the Circle's five major public authority organizations.
Primarily responsible for the Containment and Nullification of Anomalies, handling criminal cases involving Anomalies or Esper Abilities, and suppressing disasters caused by Anomalies or Esper Abilities.
Headquarters are located in Hethereau, with branch offices established in various locations.
Deep in Hankaku Street in Bridge Crossings, Hethereau, sits an antique shop that's been running at a loss for years. It also happens to be an Anomaly Hunter group that consistently ranks at the bottom for positive reviews on the Hyelp app.
Due to poor management and antiques that never sell, they take on civilian Anomaly Commissions to keep the business afloat.
Frontline field personnel at the Bureau of Anomaly Control. Composed of professionally-trained, ordinary humans.
A civilian Anomaly response department that operates on a regular basis, primarily responsible for rapid response and handling routine Anomalies that appear within their respective jurisdictions.
Duty personnel are also responsible for daily maintenance work on Wertheimer Towers and monitoring of the Wertheimer Index. They work closely with the Security Office.
The field department with the broadest scope of work within the Bureau of Anomaly Control. Responsible for Containment or Nullification of general Anomalies, supervision and transfer of temporarily contained Anomalies, as well as cleanup support for ETD operations. Members include ordinary personnel and Espers assigned from JTF.
All work is conducted in accordance with the New Containment Safety Protocol.
The department most feared by other members within the Bureau; an elite squad composed entirely of powerful Espers. Their name signifies absolute control and suppression, and, as such, they possess numerous operational privileges. They are typically deployed for major Anomaly disasters, high-level Anomaly appearances, or in pursuit of the most dangerous Anomaly-related criminals.
There are 7 squads total. Apart from the 2 squads stationed near headquarters, the remaining squads are each assigned to branch offices in different cities.
According to the Director's allocation strategy, ETD squads are generally built around a particularly outstanding type of ability or a unified common trait. A squad is initially established with 2 members, then expanded to 4 members as circumstances allow.
The ETD squad stationed in Hethereau. Captain Baicang leads the team, with Skia as Lieutenant, and Lacrimosa and Fadia as squad members.
Known within ETD for their balance and suppression capabilities, this strike team can handle most situations. They seem to have been formed around some shared experience, granting them an impressive cohesion despite their initially-casual demeanors.
An emerging delivery company in Hethereau, their main business involves Anomaly-related delivery services and intelligence trading. They also hold operating licenses as an Anomaly Hunter group. In situations requiring combat support, they can provide backup delivery.
Sterry's intelligence operations serve as a crucial source of information for Hethereau's various factions.
On Green Wall Slope in Hethereau, the Anomaly Morphix constructed an Anomalous Realm with the condition that only strong wishes could open its entrance; this allowed two twin brothers to take residence inside. The brothers then used their Esper Abilities to conduct business with visitors, allowing them to pawn their wishes. Through the combined efforts of all three, Pawn Moonlight came to be.
Since Morphix has returned home to its master, the brothers will continue wandering to other cities, with Pawn Moonlight now permanently closed.
The wealthiest among the six major families, as well as the most devoted to pursuing romance.
Because they can make money from virtually anything they do, the Dvořák family don't particularly pursue wealth. Recent generations of family leaders have been passionate about charitable work, earning them an excellent reputation in Hethereau.
The commercial Pink Paws Bank and the free-entry Gold Apple Collection Hall are both Dvořák achievements.
A biker gang that runs rampant through the streets of Hethereau. To them, provoking vehicles, speeding violations, and destroying public property are all child's play.
The Anomaly Headless Rider serves as the spiritual leader of the entire organization. Its Agents, the Four Heavenly Kings, regularly distribute the Rider's fuel to their members: the racing Psyche of those defeated in late-night street races.
A spontaneous amateur band formed by Haniel, dreaming of worldwide fame.
They mostly play at StarSign, a livehouse in Illusion Town, Hethereau, where they've slowly gained a loyal following.
Despite being friends with the owner, they keep things professional and are paid fairly for their gigs.
Affiliated with Yggash Court, The Witch's House offers divination and support to licensed Anomaly Hunters, occasionally working with groups like the Bureau of Anomaly Control.
Inside, a humanoid Anomaly named Blackbird, known as the Witch, resides. Though, no one has ever seen her step outside.
Beyond aiding Anomaly Hunters, The Witch's House keeps buying a common Meme Anomaly called Oracle Stone. The purpose behind this collection is still unknown.
X_X (Pronounced "Double X") is a unique club made up of everyday folks, Anomalies, and Espers. It's home to the famous magician Houdinii with his huge following, the brilliant playwright Cassandra, and notorious figures like the phantom thief Chameleon and the gambler "21," both wanted by Midas Technologies. The club hosts regular meetups called "potlucks," and anyone who locates the spot and joins one can become a member.
Many Anomaly Hunters look up to X_X. Beyond its legendary members, the resources stashed across the city by the group are a huge help for rookie Hunters looking to grow.
Midas Technologies, a tech company linked to Zerogon Laboratory, specializes in Anomalies and Esper Abilities. They produce essential gear for Anomaly Hunters, like Arcs, Arc Dyes, and Consoles. Their subsidiary research institutes also provide tech support for everyday items and furniture used by regular citizens.
Esper Types is a classification system for categorizing the special abilities of Espers or Anomalies, developed to meet the needs of the esper certification system.
Classification is generally based on the origin of abilities. Taking the six most common and universal types as examples:
1. Cosmos: Originates from maintaining order.
2. Chaos: Originates from disrupting order.
3. Anima: Originates from nature, manipulating natural elements or life, requiring no medium.
4. Lakshana: Originates from the physical realm, with one's own body serving as the medium.
5. Incantation: Originates from language as a non-physical medium. Can summon beings from other dimensions.
6. Psyche: Originates from mental and psychological non-physical realms, requiring a real-world medium outside of oneself for manifestation.
It's worth noting that while called Esper Types, this classification method can also be used in certain situations to distinguish the origins of Anomaly abilities.
Patent No. 01:1313.[P]

A mysterious Anomaly, first found at the Hypervortex disaster site in New Helios, possesses remarkable power. Strangely, when it appeared, the local Wertheimer Index showed no changes at all.
Some believe it can emerge with other powerful Anomalies and vanish when those acting as "bridges" are neutralized. It also seems tied to the human Esper Zero, who, like this Anomaly, remains undetectable by Wertheimer Index readings.
A hypothesis proposed by academia, which holds that the Esper Abilities awakened by humans and Anomalies originate from the same source.
A magazine that specializes in introducing low-level Object Anomalies that ordinary citizens are also permitted to guarantee and collect. Its publication has been approved by the Bureau of Anomaly Control.
