Unheard Shores is the city's forgotten coastline, lined with disused wharves, fishing remnants, and tenements that the inland districts rarely think about. Its quiet is the quiet of neglect, where currents bring in things the rest of Hethereau would rather not acknowledge. For Espers, it is a frontier posting, far from the lights and close to whatever drifts in from the open water. Postings here test self-reliance. Backup is far, the weather turns without warning, and the anomalies that wash up are often older and stranger than anything found inland. Espers who hold the Shores keep meticulous logs, because a pattern noticed early on this coast is sometimes the first warning the rest of Hethereau ever receives before the tide carries it upriver. Many of the city's strangest case files began as a single odd entry scrawled in a Shores patrol log long before anyone inland took notice.
