Anomaly Story

If you want to make a name for yourself in music but feel you lack a stage to showcase your talents, then Night of Moondog is the perfect venue. The earliest records of this Anomaly date back to ████, describing the same phenomenon that still appears periodically today: a stage and accompanying audience seating floating in the night sky, all staff being ordinary small dogs, a small dog giving each performer a score after their performance, and a stage that may change based on the content of the performance. Night of Moondog follows a format similar to a talent show, where after registering through special rules, performers can take the stage. Since it was deemed harmless and opened to the public, Night of Moondog has gradually become a periodic music celebration.

Although theaters that utilize anomalies to enhance stage effects aren't uncommon nowadays, the experience that Night of Moondog can provide as a complete Anomaly far exceeds human imagination. Among fans of Night of Moondog, the phenomenon where the stage changes according to the performer is called Resonance, and witnessing Resonance is what these audience members yearn to see: the so-called unpredictable stage. During Night of Moondog, all staff share a kind of hive mind, working together under the coordination of this Location Anomaly's self-awareness, Moondog, to ensure the smooth running of performances. Resonance can be seen as a phenomenon that occurs when Moondog is moved by a performer, though this phenomenon does not only occur with performers. The most talked-about Resonance among longtime Night of Moondog audiences actually started from the audience seating: Hethereau's famous landmark, Hethereau Skytower, emerged from the bottom of the stands and connected to the stage. An audience member then leaped onto the stage via the Skytower and completed the performance together with the solo performer on stage.

Without a doubt, Night of Moondog possesses self-awareness, and the existence of Resonance also shows that Moondog has preferences. Yet its scoring is recognized by the vast majority of audiences and music critics as completely objective evaluations based purely on performance quality. A performer who receives the highest score at Night of Moondog may not have given the most spectacular performance, but it will certainly be the most skillful. For this reason, some talent agencies and music schools closely follow each Night of Moondog, hoping to discover talented performers.

If one's inner emotions are strong enough, they can deliver an incredibly brilliant performance with Moondog's approval. If one's skills are refined enough, Night of Moondog will award an admirably high score. With both Resonance and scoring coexisting, every performer can find their own moment to shine at Night of Moondog.
