Eternal Present

The obsession with immortality seems baked into human nature. Out of fear of death, refusal to accept a short, fleeting life, or a desire for more, be it knowledge, money, or power, the hunger for youth and longer lifespans has never ceased. The Anomaly known as "Eternal Present" is that desire made manifest. Its origin has long since vanished from the written records, and most of its past beneficiaries remain shrouded in mystery. Yet, after millennia, Eternal Present still shines brightly.

The Anomaly itself presents as a brilliant, dazzling gem—but its true form is rarely seen. Only once it forges a contract with a host will it reveal itself. From then on, the Contract Bearer can no longer perceive the passage of time.

However, signing the contract poses a significant risk. Because the contract signer's perception of time is completely shattered, they eventually become numb and apathetic towards their existence.

Escaping Eternal Present is, in theory, very simple: as long as the Contract Bearer utters the words, "Free me of my immortal prison", Eternal Present will sever the contract and lie in wait for a new host. The previous host loses every privilege they once had and resumes life normally.

As of right now, the last Contract Bearer reported was Dolores Constantine. With Eternal Present, she attempted to revive the fading Constantine family. In the end, however, she abandoned the Anomaly and embraced her own mortality. After her passing, the Constantine name quickly sank into obscurity, and Eternal Present vanished without a trace.

Dolores Constantine passed Eternal Present onto her "daughter"—a puppet she herself had given life to—in an attempt to dodge the pursuit of the Anomaly known as the "Debt Collector".

· Appears as a dazzling gem.

· For any Contract Bearer of this Anomaly, the consequences of time decrease dramatically, granting them an immortal existence.

· Eventually, the Contract Bearer will begin to develop an apathetic worldview.

· To break free of this Anomaly, the signer must personally declare, "Free me of my immortal prison".

When there's no one left to desire more time—or when time itself is swallowed into oblivion—Eternal Present will undergo nullification.
